The Royal Nanny - Melody Carlson

This book was such a fun read. I absolutely adored both of the children, so cute! The story line was unique to me which is always a bonus. I have never read a book with a nanny before, nevermind a nanny sort of thrown into the position. Due to the nanny factor there was a lot of interaction with the main character and the children. So as a reader I got to know all of those characters really well. However, what was a little bit lacking for me was the actual relationship between the nanny and the dad. In all honesty it kind of felt like a blip. Even once we discover they might like each other I feel like I never really got to know the dad or even really see their relationship change and grow. The faith content was pretty solid, which is slowly becoming a big factor in my star ratings because I naturally enjoy a book which has more faith content.  Overall a good quick read. I am going to try more books by this author, because it was an enjoyable read.

One of the quotes which stuck out to me was short and sweet:

"Do your best and trust God with the rest."

It seems so simple yet it can be challenging. However, the reason the quote stuck out to me is because it speaks to the act of being obedient to God by doing my best in whatever He has called me to do, while also trusting Him with all things.
